You "drill" for lithium?

“ Lithium brine recovery is typically a straightforward but lengthy process that can take anywhere from several months to a few years to complete. Drilling is required to access the underground salar brine deposits, and the brine is then pumped to the surface and distributed to evaporation ponds.”

Still 1.88 million square miles of ice per the Google Machine...

Also, thanks to recent warming and less polar ice, the polar bears are reaching record numbers because it's now easier for them to find lunch - seals. There are now too many polar bears and you can hunt them for $50,000 each ... but they only allow about 700 harvestings a year ... Nunavut Territory Polar Bear Hunting - Worldwide Trophy Adventures

The habitat of the Polar bear (floating ice) is down 33% in the Arctic over the past 20 years. The RATE of sea ice LOSS is accelerating. The Arctic will be 4 degrees C warmer in the next year. In 2050 RAIN will be falling instead of SNOW for many MONTHS. Polar bear and oil worker conflicts are increasing as bears are driven onto LAND. Currently, polar bears are listed as THREATENED. Soon they will be reevaluated for possible ENDANGERED STATUS.

Good for you believing polar bears are going extinct ... and that way others will be able get their trophy hunts. You still don't get it do you ... there are so many bears that they allow up to 700 harvests of bears a year ... Nunavut Territory Polar Bear Hunting - Worldwide Trophy Adventures I feel sorry for all those who actually donate money to save the bears, when there is no problem at all. Guess who's pockets all those donations go to.

I was surprised they are allowing hunting due to a large expansion of the herd. Guess we cannot believe what a lot of people have been telling us about the poor starving polar bears.

One day our grandchildren will laugh at not only our ignorance of common sense, but of letting a small group of powerful elite fool the world about a non-problem. Ottmar is trying to tell us, but very few are listening ... climate policies are an illusion.

The reason there are so many bears is because there is less sea ice - and more opportunity to hunt seals. The bears don't need ice to survive, because their DNA says they were originally Asian brown bears.

Greenland was indeed green and welcoming for the Vikings many years ago.
Today in Alaska, where the ice has receded, they are finding arrowheads and reindeer scat indicating the ice was less than 5,000 years old.
Cycles come and go without the influence of insignificant little people.

Apparently, the Native Americans in the Arctic area, who likely have not-so-wonderful lives, see a chance to make the big bucks, and to hell with the Polar bear!

Nuts, less sea ice means LESS opportunity for the Polar Bear to survive because there will be MORE contact with humans.........boats, oil slicks, and other hazards of civilization. They have "threatened status" now. That really ends ANY POSSIBLE ARGUMENTS.

In Africa they strip mine, it depends on how close the surface.

Not true. MAN is the reason for the HOTTER climate worldwide in the LAST 8 years. WE ALL felt the HEAT THIS SUMMER RIGHT HERE in TV Land for anyone that played any sports outdoors. There were practically ZERO Pickleball players in the afternoon on the courts that I saw. Just feel the HEAT here in the afternoon and read about as RECORD HEAT as recorded by scientists. SCIENCE and your own INTUITION are telling you that the world environment is going to s--- in a handbasket!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Causey 09-30-2023 06:59 AM

This is all great entertainment. The best part, is that insignificant humans, arrogantly believe they know what happened in the past and what will happen in the future. All pure arrogance.
