I will join you in your stating that we have Global Warming. I am in PERFECT AGREEMENT on that.

This is because we are still thawing out from the Little Ice Age -- which is expected to continue for about 100 years or so. It'll get cold after that. Trust me -- the sun has been producing these cycles for thousands of years - and there's nothing we can can do about it -- except adapt.

Even I can answer that graph in your YOU/Tube insert. The bottom axis is in MILLIONS of years, which makes it useless to a discussion about the last 15 years that I am saying that Climate Scientists are worried about. I am NOT a Paleantologist (I can't even spell it right), but I would GUESS that as the Earth COOLED the oxygen and nitrogen gas atoms replaced the CO2 atoms. And since we HUMANS breathe O2 then we were able to exist.

Normally, that might be the case. Unfortunately, the powers that be have mandated that anyone they have any control over fall in line and parrot the myth of anthropogenic climate change. Since most climatologists work for the government, work under a contract with the government or for a university, that accounts for most of them. Again, if anyone doubts this, just get a degree in climatology and apply for a grant to do research that would prove humans have nothing to do with global warming. Congratulations, you just committed professional suicide and your family will starve

I would welcome more people into this discussion. It has a lot to do with world population movements from South to North, which has already affected the US and will affect it greatly, and in a negative way, in the future. It explains WHY the Gulf and Atlantic are at RECORD temperatures, Note -------July 22, 2024 was The Earths hottest day EVER RECORDED! Look it up, it will scare you!

Plants today suffer from lack of sufficient CO2, which is why most commercial greenhouses (worldwide) use CO2 enrichment -- even the Villages greenhouse. We are far below the average level of earth's CO2 history -- and far too close to the CO2 red-line-of-death. We should celebrate CO2 - not demonize it.

Nearly all the major civilizations of the past crumbled due to mass migrations into wealthy cities following dramatic climate change -- all when CO2 levels were far far less than today. Bye the way, those dramatic climate changes of the past -- they were global cooling events. It's called climate history -- which apparently is no longer taught.

Finally, something that makes sense and that I can partially agree with.I have simply stated what I have read and how I disagree with the gentleman from our local Climate Club. People living in Florida must individually decide what action they take. If they believe that warming is happening and they can afford it and are relatively young - I would advise that they look at the graph of temperature rise worldwide and in Florida and some probably would be better off to find a retirement community to the North of Florida. There is a smaller but nice one (with a golf course) near Crossville, Tn. But, either way my thesis is that in 5 years at this present HEATING rate Florida will be TOTALLY UNPLEASANT to live in the summer and the hurricanes and tornadoes will be super dangerous here in Florida.
......But maybe the Villages Climate Club is right and I am wrong. Better at least, to be warned than ignore the subject, which many are doing !!!!!!!!!

There are many things that can cause plants to grow and not to grow. One major thing is temperature too low and specifically too high, amount of water, etc. This is not a one issue problem nor a one solution problem. No one can make a guarantee that they are 100% correct. The story here should be how do we mitigate the impacts on humans, animals, the environment we all enjoy now and in the future. Arguing what the cause is while fire burns down towns, floods was away towns, ocean storms; hurricanes/typhoons, destroy entire cities is about as helpful as arguing which came first the chicken or the egg. Hope that climate change naysayers are correct but would rather hope for the best and plan for the worst.

Lots of heated words -- but not one mention of TONGA's heating spike -- or the fact that hurricanes and tornadoes are decreasing thanks to global warming. That is data denial. This is why more and more people come to the Weather Club -- to hear data versus opinion.

Opinions and alarming rhetoric and popular hobbies -- and make lots of money -- but at the Weather Club we look at data versus scary stories. Please bring your data and we'll have a good time.

Co2 was basically in control about 15 years ago then population grew and factories and automobile around the world started spewing out CO2 , apparently in excess of what the oceans (and trees) could absorb. The end result is HEAT REFLECTED BACK TO THE eARTH AND THE record TEMPERATURES. Note-----July 22 2024 was the Earths hottest ever recorded day ! YES, more trees would help but more population is demanding more trees get cut down. And when someone (like myself) points this out, it generates vitreal and push back because the status quo has inertia behind it.

Again ... how much did man-made CO2 warm the earth last year? Unless you can say -- your claims of climate disaster are unfounded. It's not about vitriol -- it's about data.
