People living in Florida must individually decide what action they take. If they believe that warming is happening and they can afford it and are relatively young - I would advise that they look at the graph of temperature rise worldwide and in Florida and some probably would be better off to find a retirement community to the North of Florida. There is a smaller but nice one (with a golf course) near Crossville, Tn. But, either way my thesis is that in 5 years at this present HEATING rate Florida will be TOTALLY UNPLEASANT to live in the summer and the hurricanes and tornadoes will be super dangerous here in Florida.
......But maybe the Villages Climate Club is right and I am wrong. Better at least, to be warned than ignore the subject, which many are doing !!!!!!!!!

Is that like "The polar ice caps will be gone by 2010"---Al Gore

I think I'll wait to see if your prediction is correct before moving----and then it will quite a bit north of north Florida :1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:

It is not so much me, myself claiming climate disaster. I have just read that from science articles. By now, it is common knowledge. We all know that the Coral reefs are dying. we all know that the Arctic Ocean ice has all melted. And the icebergs in Antarctica are melting. Scientists say that the polar ice melting has caused the ocean water to build up around the equator and has changed the spin timing of the Earth by a tiny, tiny part of a second. But scientists are worried that they don't know what that long-term effect will be.

I never understood the sheer hatred of Al Gore. But the 1st famous person to initiate the idea of Global Warming would catch a lot of heat. 2010 isn't THAT long ago and the northern polar ice is almost gone. So on a generous time scale Al Gore was right. Anyway he just served as an early warning of what was coming and IS here now. We have Coral reef destruction. July 22. 2024 WAS the Earth's hottest day in records. The last 15 years have had RECORD world heat. So many unusual things already. Is it not logical that those will continue. They are making MORE not less gasoline and diesel vehicles in the world to satisfy the world's upward spiking population growth. How can we tell India to stop their population? And Africa and South America, which is moving northward from Venezuela even as we speak !!!! !!!!!!

Common knowledge? Ok then ... tell me the commonly known value of how much man-made CO2 warmed the earth last year.

OK then, we can agree that Al Gore is a VERY polarizing American historic figure.
