The oil and gas industry dishes out more money than the Government does. In the 50s through 70s Universities did the bulk of the pure research. Now big corporations do the research. There might just be a TINY bit of self-interest today!

So, earthworm migration further north BECAUSE of Global Warming will THEN ADD more Global Warming to the equation of the Earth's heat problems. The only HOPE on the horizon is California's upcoming mandate for electric vehicles and the corresponding adoption of E-vehicles in the rest of the US.

More CO2 is good. Who's denying global warming -- it is warming because we are still under the influence of at least 4 solar-driven warming cycles. Plus, more warming is also good. There is no problem that a little more warming and CO2 can't solve. Problem is it's cold outside. If the earth doesn't heat up soon, I want a government refund because they promised a very hot earth -- and I don't see it. We obviously need to start producing much more CO2.

If they are dishing it out, where do I sign up to get some?

More people means more burning of fossil fuel and MORE of a pollution problem. if the earth had the population that it did in 1900, we would NOT be talking about Global Warming.

Jacques Cousteau gave the population problem marching orders years ago. Who's first ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r1dOujw3et4

Then, I guess that the Gulf water record temperature that helped Hurricane IAN become such a LARGE killer hurricane as it ruined and took the lives of many on the Florida coast........I guess that was a GOOD thing. And I guess it is also a GOOD thing that insurance companies are jacking up insurance payments for ALL Floridians - and many are leaving Florida altogether.

What caused those insurance companies to leave........ if we are in a SO-CALLED cooling period or a SO-CALLED normal period? I think NOT.

We only talk about Ian is because it HAPPENED to hit land. The vast majority of hurricanes founder about in the Atlantic and peter out...

It is proof of nothing...

Plus the forecasters completely missed where Ian was going to hit land, 2 days before it hit land. So the evacuation were wrong.
The same forecasters who are telling us next year will be an even bigger hurricane year, and Miami will be under water in 10 years.

Boy, that was a confusing and confused couple of statements about E-vehicles. EVs don't care if the wind is blowing or not, they are NOT powered by sails......that is how sailboats are powered. And coal does NOT have to be the generating energy for a large power generating center. Natural gas is cleaner and cheaper than coal in the US. China uses a lot of coal. The US can use nuclear power generation, wind, tides, and waterfalls, which are all cleaner than coal.

Who's denying Global Warming? W E L L, it seems to me like you are because the title of your thread is, "COOLING IS COMING". So, make up my mind. Is the Globe warming or cooling? I know that 7 of the last 8 years have been record temperatures for the earth and I have written about WHY. And that the predictions are for an increasingly warm next 30 years.

Simply become an oil and gas industry lobbyist.

I would NOT advise anyone to buy property in Miami.

If they weathermen are so smart why do they stand out in the middle of the storm? Just for ratings!

That's the point ... warming and cooling are happening at the same time via 10 different solar driven cycles -- not by CO2. Currently, over the past 7 or so years there is slight global cooling, which is within a longer term warming from the Bray and Eddy cycles, which is modulated by the even larger scale Milankovitch cycle which has started cooling. On top of that is the ongoing Feynman sunspot cycle which has been cooling for the past 40 years and the PDO ocean cycle which has also been cooling for the past few years -- which many believe is causing the current cooling trend. These are all discussed at the Weather Club ... The Villages Weather Club

No one can predict the future -- especially the climate, so quoting climate model predictions is like palm reading -- useless -- because they have all been wrong for 30+ years. Those models are forecasting continued warming -- and yet the atmosphere has been cooling for at least 7 years and we don't know for how much longer. And they missed today's max temperature by 6 degrees too high. This is what happens when you force plant food (CO2) into a weather model.
