Now let me help with that sentence. 44 years ago was 1978/1979. As the data says hottest since 1979 it must have been 1978 in your statement.

Don't come back here and prevaricate about what you thought you read. You probably are embarrassed you didn't read carefully. You continue to make claims about 20000 years ago and such. But look at the graphs I posted. The early years are temps calculated from data such as tree rings etc. We only have rounded yearly temperature data for the last 150 years and we only have worldwide daily data since 1979 in this data set which is the standard being used.

So yes you said it was hotter in 1978. You were wrong. You misunderstood what you read because you refuse to accept the science. There is no evidence that axis tilt, or the old favorite sunspots etc are causing the extremely rapid increase in global temperatures.

We have been thru several sunspot cycles, there is no correlation to our temperature changes. The earth did not sudden change it's axis in the last 40 years. You need more mud for your dike.

Again, another load of crap. But I read it again and I should have written "hotter on a day prior to 1979". Happy now???? But basic premise, there is no evidence that human activity is altering the repetitive cycle of glaciation and interglacial thaws that have repeated time and time again over the last 4.5 million years. That graph is crap. The data behind it is most likely crap, and the thought of spending $100 TRILLION to combat something that we can maybe, maybe affect 1% of is crap.

Been here in Florida for over 50 years and I can tell you this IT'S HOT" Looking back at growing up in the 40's not too many folks owned a car back in the day. When you look at the numbers as the years pass, the numbers go up. Today, we have at least two cars per home

I would classify that as faulty logic, if there was any logic in it at all.

So, since you mention cars, try this one: 20,000 years ago NYC was under 2 miles of ice. By the dawn of the industrial revolution, prior to massive burning of fossil fuels, the ice had all melted and the climate was about the same as today. So, what make and model of SUV did Fred Flintstone and friends drive???? Why did the planet get so much warmer from 20,000 years ago until the beginning of industrialization??? Maybe I should put THAT on a "graph".

Who in their right mind believes in these so called climate change scientists/proponents like Al Gore or better yet, Greta Thunberg or AOC?
We have heard the same dire predictions from the left for almost 100 years, to control the country/world for their agenda.
Lets recap over that past 50 years on so called dire predictions that never came true:
in 1972, “We have ten years to stop the catastrophe,” said the UN’s environmental protection boss. That’s one of the headlines collected by Bjorn Lomberg, author of “False Alarm: How Climate Change Panic Costs Us Trillions, Hurts the Poor, and Fails to Fix the Planet.”

in 1982: Tolba, head of UN Environment
Programme in Che New York Times: If the nations of the world continue their current policies they will face by the year 2000: "an environmental catastrophe as
irreversible as any nuclear holocaust"

1989: Senior UN environmental official tells Associated Press, published around the world: U.N. Predicts Disaster if Global Warming Not Checked
Associated Press UNITED NATIONS (AP) - A senior U.N. environmental official says entire nations could be wiped off the face of the Earth by rising sea levels if the global warming trend is not reversed by the year 2000.
Coastal flooding and crop failures would create an exodus of "eco- refuges." We have to fix climate change by 1999 or climate change goes beyond human control: He said governments have a 10 year window of opportunity to solve the greenhouse effect before *Global disaster, nations wiped off the
ladesh could be flooded, displacing a fourth face of the earth, crop failures'
* in the Nile Delta would be flooded

2007: Rajendra Pachauri, head of U.N. Chief Seeks More Leadership on
Climate Change the UN Climate Panel.
Rosenthal, Elisabeth; Andrew C. Revkin contributed reporting from New York. "What we do in the next two to three years will determine our future"
The New York Times "If there is no action before 2012, that's too late"

Only 11 Years Left to Prevent Irreversible Damage from Climate Change, Speakers
Warn during General Assembly High-Level Meeting

In 1974, scientists Mario Molina and F. Sherry Rowland published a paper theorising that CFCs could destroy ozone in Earth's stratosphere.

I'm still here, cities all along the coasts are still here, glaciers are still here. There is a theme for all the propaganda brought upon these so called activists/scientists (?), we have 10 years or we are doomed.

This topic always comes to the same people arguing, insulting etc. Allright, I believe the earth is getting warmer by 1degree C since 1900. I made it this long and even moved south to enjoy the warm weather. What should we personally do to stop the heat? Better yet what are you doing to stop it. Arguing on Talk of The Villages isn't productive. We have heard the story many times. Perhaps, you could quit taking the bait and limit warning us to one post every year or so. I promise to turn up my AC temperature 1 degree centigrade. Some people may disagree but let them have their opinion.

In other words, for all the misguided climate change believers out there, IT WAS HOTTER ON A DAY 44 YEARS AGO THAN IT WAS YESTERDAY. So much for the inexecrable temperature rise that is steadily leading us to extinction.

Yet, the media and those in power that will benefit from spending $100 TRILLION on this folly just go merrily along pushing their false narrative. But what's worse is that the force can have a profound effect on the weak-minded.

Excellent post. And talking about temperature rise ... that's the narrative, while the data says otherwise. The 9-year trend still shows cooling.

I fail to see the arguments put out by some people on Talk of the Villages. If the earth is on a cycle we will all be dead by the end of it. I mean humans and a 100,000 year cycle. Global warming will have killed us.

No offence. Do you discuss these obsessions with continuing these discussions with your significant other? All for the sake of argument. Either, like school kids am too, are not or old men I'm right, you're wrong.

Give us a hint of what you have done to help solve the problem that you are so obsessed with. Do you have solar panels? Have you reduced your carbon footprint and eliminated use of fossil fuels? Electric vehicles, no air travel, eliminate AC/Heat (Didn't have it before temp rise).

If you are doing nothing significant, why not drop your criticism of other's opinions of the problem?

It's not just "global warming". It is 60-100,000 year cycles of glaciation and interglacial thaws occurring more than a dozen times over the last 4.5 million years. And humans/humanoids have survived ALL OF THEM. Yet people think that changing from fossil fuel burning cars to cars powered by electricity created by burning fossil fuels is going to change that???? Hmmm......

And it takes a strong mind to deal with the threat of global warming. A weak one just believes it is all a hoax when it cannot deal with reality.

I struggle to see global warming as something other than a form of free energy. I'm all for clean(er) air and water, but I struggle to find much to scare me about a few feet of sea level rise. I *have* been wrong before, though, and always enjoy learning. :-)

And the heat you feel standing next to the condenser came from the inside of your house which is now correspondingly cooler, a net sum zero transaction except for the electricity used to power the AC.

Back UpNort, we had a custom called the "Polar Plunge". Usually held as a fundraiser though some people did it for fun, usually aided by a few shots of slivovitz. People gathered pledges, then on the day of the "plunge", usually New Year's day for some reason, a large hole was cut in the ice of some lake, maybe 50' x 50' or so, strip down to swim trunks or whatever one usually swam in, and jump in. You got extra applause if you could swim the length of the hole and crawl out on the other side. Certain body parts would shrink down to beneath minuscule, if you get my drift.

Along the same lines, Duluth, MN, during my time there, had a club called the Polar Bear Club. Each New Year's Day, members of the club would take a swim in Lake Superior. Great fun!

I prefer my glasses half full.

You haven't heard? According to a planned parenthood doctor namedDr. Kumar. in his testimony before congress, stated "Men can have pregnancies, especially trans men,". The statement is confusing on multiple levels. Let's assume he believes women who identify as men are real men (I know, right.). He goes on to say men can get pregnant, "especially" trans men. I wonder what other types of men he believes can get pregnant.

Wrong
“ The condensing temperature of the refrigerant is usually about 30–35 degrees F above the ambient (outside) air. So the air temp will be roughly about 25–30 degrees over the outside air (we always move more air than we absolutely need across the coil).”

False conspiracy, push buttons, leading weak minded people on? Go back and read newspapers from the 1800's and the early 1900's, this is nothing new, it's always been this way and always will be. It's not a conspiracy on the right or the lefts part, it's a way to sell newspapers and get viewers. Nothing new there.

Wrong. Look at the volume of air in a house as compared to the outdoors. This is exactly the principle upon which heat pumps work. You cannot create more heat by exchanging it---simple thermodynamic principle. the only added heat comes from the inefficiency of the unit and the power that is used

We are currently in the Holocene epoch which dates back about 12,000 years when the glaciers began to recede. Not our fault. But that is when humans began to thrive. There have been world droughts lasting about 100 years, about 4,200 years ago, again, not our fault, and mini ice ages in the 1,500’s, again, not our fault. Borings show huge temperature variations throughout the history of the earth and that will not change. No one knows why the Holocene period began and no one knows when it will end. I think worrying about it does not make sense. You want to have an impact on quality of life, stop using disposable plastics.
