Default Villages Scramble

Does anyone know about this year's Properties of the Villages scramble or if they're even having one? By this time last year it was advertised all over, this year it's not even on the schedule.

Have you tried calling one of the courses head pros?

My hat off to you for properly calling it a 'scramble...and not a 'best ball' tournament.

I did ask the staff, but they had no idea. I'll try my pro, or the manager at EP. It's a great tournament and I'd hate to see it just disappear without notice

I've heard the POV bowling tournament advertised but not the golf tourney; hope they have it.

The Executive Golf Trail Scramble

Held the first week of October each year, the Scramble is the premier event of the calendar each year on the Executive Golf Trail. This annual charity event has raised thousands of dollars since its inception in 2000. In 2005, the event raised $7000.00 towards supporting Operation Shoebox and the Red Cross Hurricane Katrina Relief. The tournament is a 36-hole scramble format event designed to include players of all skill levels.

Different scramble. 36 holes usually at Palmer and Glenview, draws about 500 golfers. There is usually a "pairing party" at LSL about a week before and a dinner at the polo grounds after the last day afternoon round. Last year they started advertising in December, and I think the tournament was early March, about a month before the Villages Championship
