Default EarthBox Container Gardening for Veggies

It's a dismal day here in eastern NC. Snowing.
So..naturally...my thoughts swing to putting in a few tomato plants. Much tastier than store-bought.
Has anyone in The Villages tried the EarthBox, or anything similar to grow veggies? I'm THIS close to ordering 3 boxes and I would appreciate hearing about any experiences any members might have to offer.

I have a tomato plant in my back yard and it is huge!! It has kept us in tomatoes for the last 6 weeks. They taste wonderful. I hope it makes it through the night tonight. It still has loads of tomatoes on it. I give it a little Miracle grow and some Epsom salts.

What variety are they?
