Sammy Joe Pizza not good
We tried Sammy Joe Pizza, Mulberry area. It was our first and last time. Would not recommend it to anyone. Ordered 14 inch deluxe: Waiter recommended we pay for extra cheese. When the pizza was delivered barely enough cheese to cover the sauce/toppings, very little toppings and they tasted burnt. Service was horrible. After the pizza was delivered he never checked on us again other than to drop by the bill and check to see if he got a tip. Was hoping to find a good pizza close by.

Did you ask to speak to the manager? Sounds like bad pizza.

We've gotten takeout there many times and have always been pleased.

I want to thank the Management of Sammy Joe's because without them I might never have found NYPD PIZZA. Service at Sammy's is terrible and quality of food MUST be improved. NYPD is so much better for food AND service.

sunnsnow, agree NYPD pizza & service is good. We also like Flippers, they put tons of cheese on the pizza without paying extra.

We've eaten there several times and find just the opposite. The servers go out of their way to assure you're happy and pleased. Our pizzas have always been loaded with cheese and any toppings we've ordered have been more than ample. You must of hit it on a bad night.

Looks like pizza opinions in TV are about as divisive as the country is politically

When it comes to Pizza, BBQ and Mexican everyone has different tastes. Bad service is pretty much universal. No excuse.

If you're from Brooklyn, you gotta know pizza-you were raised on it- the best pizza in Brooklyn is Tortono's in Coney Island 100 year old coal fired oven-olive oil outta the can, mozzarella chunks and tomato sauce thats a secret recipe-he opens when he wants to & closes when he runs out of stuff to makes the pies which is about 3PM

Should not have to order extra cheese to have pizza covered with cheese. Maybe they should stick to breakfast.

I wish there was Ceasers close. At least I can get the 5 buck carry out, take it home Doctor it up and have pizza I like. I find that most pizza around here is average or below for my tastes, but the pice is preimum which leaves bad taste in my mouth?

Been there twice for lunch. First time pizza crust was burnt. Tried a second time and it was fine. Not as good as NYPD but an OK quick lunch since I was going to the VA Clinic.
