Default Tapas in Brownwood

Went to Tapas tonight for dinner, 1st time ! Was not very busy, service was great and server explained the menu and how to order. So far impressed, we ordered 4 tapas for two people. Cost was $46.00 for the four tapas. Portion size was very small and really needed to order about 2 more. Tapas has a good start, but need to adjust portion size or lower price..We'll give them another try..in a few months. Hope they don't fail.

Tapas is a dining experience about quality and presentation not quantity 4 Tapas only $46 is a bargain

I agree 100%. Don't think people are use to the idea......

Tapas - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

When I heard they were going to open a tapas place in the Villages - the first thing I said was " Small portions and sharing" that should go over well!

We loved it. Portion size could be just a little bigger.

Never go for tapas when you are hungry. It really is about flavor and presentation. I wonder how it will fare in TV?

Went there last week. Some portions were small and a few were larger than expected. They were all good. But the small portions were too obvious.

I think it's a great place ! I have tried many items on the menu. Everything I had has been good. It's perfect for me because I'm not a big meal eater. They have a great staff. Everyone is so friendly ! The building is beautiful inside. It's a great place to get together with friends ! I hope they do well.

i agree with baileysdad that the food was good but the portion size is only appetizer and will probably not go over with hearty eaters...it was a pleasant experience but i don't think i would go there regularly on my budget

We agree. Pleasant place to go on our way to the movies or bring guests by for a drink to see Brownwood, but due to the pricing we would not go that often.

The food was good but one of our selections, the mussels w/snails, contained 6 mussels & one was not open. I forget how much it was exactly, about $10? Next time I'd stick with the chicken appetizer we had which was excellent, and cost a few dollars less.

We went there a few days ago, as vegans it's always a question if there's something we want to eat.

Asked the waitress, she had Antonio the chef come out ask us what we wanted and how we like it prepared, WOW!! it was great.

$15 for two

the other couple with us also liked they had.

OK. Let me expand that. Never go to dinner when you are voraciously hungry. Eat a snack first. Also good advice when ordering sushi--I can't afford it when I'm starving.

I just thought of my daughter for a moment and the advice I used to give her (actually quite bad advice, I know). I would tell her to eat before a first date so her date wouldn't think he couldn't afford to date her. She has a habit of ordering large, very expensive meals. Tapas would be perfect for a first date. Dainty eaters unite.

We like to split a order did not work out here. Menu is hard to read but the bartender told us two for one drinks all day.
