Smile Thanksgiving Day Dinner

Hi All,

I was going to cook, but it's only the two of us. My husband said, let's go out. Where's the best Thanksgiving Day meal in The Villages?

Thanks

Kim

It really depends. If you want a sit down dinner go to one of the country clubs.

If you want a buffet try Golden Corral (which is where we will be).

Harbor Hills Country Club. It is pricey but it is usually exceptional and they have a piano player and it's very nice. They are taking names on a waiting list as they are full for the reservations. The cost is $39.62. There are currently 15 people on the wait list so you may have a chance.

My former club in NC made a fabulous Thanksgiving dinner. Our kids and their families always waited anxiously for an invitation. Of course, they always received one, including our son's in-laws

I'm cooking at my house. If I wasn't, without any questions, I'd go outside TV to Mission Inn Resort. We ate Easter brunch there. It was fabulous and worth every penny. The food and the service are exquisite.

We've had a dinner there and it was excellent. I concur with your suggestion.

We are going to Mallory, but they're not taking any more reservation requests.

Went to Cody's in Brownwood and had the worst Turkey meal in all my years. Never again.

We had reservations at Mallory, but my friend cancelled them due to comments she had heard about the food.
The three of us ended up going to the Harbor Lights restaurant in Lake Panasoffkee for a buffet.
We've actually booked there once before on Thanksgiving. Some of our other friends were there as well.
We were seated at a table overlooking the lake, beautiful view.

Since we are Canadian, we get to celebrate two Thanksgivings (Canadian Thanksgiving is in October).
Very nice day, and lots to be thankful for.

Just thinking about all the roasting plans wore me out. We did a top-of-the-stove turkey.
Yummmmmmmmm, sugar!
