We hear them before sunset almost every evening in Sunset Pointe. Sounds like a large pack.

Friend sent email this morning ...
This morning I took my dog (7lb. YorkiePoo) for a golf cart ride and saw a rather large (German Shepard-sized) Coyote running across Odell Circle at the Mallory Hill Mailbox area, gaining speed while tearing down Gayle Mill Road in resident’s backyards. He was gray, he was big and he was fast! Apparently, coyotes can run up to 40 mph so my golf cart would have been no match for his speed. This was at 8:00 a.m. Last edited by suzdief; 09-06-2015 at 07:15 PM. |

Kitty; landscapers saw it and told the homeowner. The homeowner notified our neighborhood by email blast.
It was in the afternoon and the coyote was just walking between houses then ran off through the golf course. |

Husband just returned from his morning walk. We live in the Village of Belvedere. On Plainridge Loop, there were about ten different houses with their garbage strewn all over their yards. (This is our trash pick up day) On the backside of the loop, there was a big black shaggy German Shepherd sized coyote-- he ran between houses when he spotted my husband and his walking companions but had to come back out to the road as there is a wall behind the houses. He continued to run away from them down the road.

Lone coyote trotting east on Churchill golf course between #5 tee and # 4 green, hightailed it when I stood up and waved my arms. This was 8:45 this evening in Belvedere Village.

I've noticed they have a distinct trot. Different than a dog and easy to spot. Kind of an identifier.

Given that coyotes are travelers and can "claim" up to a 60 mile territory for the pack - how are TV residents to know if they are seeing the same coyote over and over or different coyotes or the coyote that was"reported seen" in a nearby village?
