I believe so. The James Spader character has played a great deal more of the plot line in the Season that just winded up compared with the last two Seasons in which Megan Boone's character played a much more involved role. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Blacklist_(TV_series)

I have liked watching the show quite a bot more after having visited the DC area for a week in May of 2015. I see a lot of familiar sites.

I don't think anyone is claiming that her character is equal to Spader but the plot lines have always had her involved and her visibility continues to play a major role in the plot. Other than Spader, it is an ensemble cast and is another good guy bad guy show, just there are a bunch of good guys and a bunch of bad guys. Not sure the show would be much without Spader.

I am not much of a fan of James Spader as has always has seemed very creepy in his roles. You are right that he plays a central role in Blacklist a very dark hero of sorts. He has had a lot of very dark roles. James Spader - Rotten Tomatoes

I spent a few days in Alexandria, VA back in May 2015 and hope to see some of the sites there in Blacklist.

On another point, I do not think that having a marriage license makes you love another person more. It certainly has a lot more legal benefits but also brings many drawbacks if the parties are unequal as far as financial assets are involved. That's probably why there are more non-traditional relationships among celebrities and those who they are enamored with. I did get a few divorce lawyer jokes when taking Judith Younger's Family Law course as I grew up in Reno, Nevada even though most of the time I was there from 1970-1983 or so, they had a lot more marriages being performed than divorces. They just tore down the bridge in Reno where some divorcees would throw their wedding rings when there was the divorce boom in Reno, Nevada. I never went ring hunting in the Truckee River though. Our world has changed.....what worked for us doesn't work for the upcoming generations....just as what worked for our parents and grandparents didn't work for most of us. Generations set their own rules because they will have to live with those decisions, right or maybe not so right. We did the same thing as I remember, and frowned on the generations that judged our moral compass at the time. Now, we are the judging generation and that's ok?
