It had gotten progressively worse after I moved here in 2006 where I paid two visit the second was the straw that broke the camel's back when I ordered a chicken sandwich that was so bad I spit out the first bite . I would suggest that those enjoying the Katie Belle experience can have a better time eating out and joining when of the many dance clubs here.

Church On the Square was renovated by Villages Lake Sumter, Inc. it is said the capacity to be 1500. Its venue has not been advertised, to my knowledge, but I suspect the owners will draw some very good entertainment but it will come with a cost. The Villages' population is now perhaps large enough to fill their venue. I am not certain that a competing venue is viable.

I am not interested in any of the above but I certainly would not stand in the way of others. However people ought to give careful thought as to the tension between want vs need because want comes at a high cost just as the residents of Atlantic City NJ who experienced a 50% closing of their casinos
First A/C started going down hill in early '60's, stopped going their with my parents and Grandmother in 1966. Casinos came, but no money went to rehabilitate city. The staff came in from outside and there was a big parking place at entrance and were bussed in, really went kaput when Miss America pageant was removed, it was started by A/C businessmen.

If people stop liking the Villages, no one will buy our houses if we want to move, Property values will drop. So the facilities, Entertainment Venues, and the rest have to continue to come and/or replace existing. What will happen to Harley Davison building after the election for starters?

In LSL by Barnes and Noble. Would say what it is used for, but that would be political. Maybe just saying campaign headquarters for someone will be allowed.

Oh, you mean the store........didn't think they had a building in TV.
You can bet the rent is cheap for that tenant!

there are quite a few vacant stores in lsl and also in spanish springs. am sure that the developer knows what he is doing, and sometimes keeping buildings empty for awhile can be a good business strategy; tax write-offs, and such. i would rather see full occupany at all the retail venues, but high rents prohibit many businesses from locating within the villages. one thing that i wold like to see: golf cart stores. other than the ones owned by the developer, no other cart dealer has a store that is golf cart accessible.
but this is my opinion.

What is the source of your statement on rent?

Town and Country EZGO dealer is golf cart accessible.

When we first came to TV to just drive around and look, Katie Belles looked really fancy from the outside. then we went there to a show and dinner in 2010. I would say the show and food was just "ok" but the place was packed to the rafters! I was amazed. They still can pack them in for shows even now, esp. when the Caribbean Chillers put on a special show or Rock and the Rollers. We go there sometimes for lunch to enjoy the entertainment.

But I certainly wouldn't say the food is exceptional, and the chairs are uncomfortable and the service is so so. But none of that matters, since they still are able to gill the house.

Good luck with another attempt at a large performing arts center.......unsuccessful at this point. The Church on the Square will be an improvement but still not a large enough venue. Time will tell how the parking scenario will play out......

There is no land for a venue of this type in a remote location. The obvious spot would be the polo grounds, but imagine the complaints from nearby residents when the music started playing.

Harley D and The Villages just wasn't a compatible fit, and Harley should have known this.
