Default "Little Bog of Horrors"

I wonder if it is hydrilla. Sounds like the name of a water monster in a movie, but hydrilla is for real. Bad stuff.

Here is a link to some information on invasive species in Florida. At the bottom of the page, you will see a list of the top 10. If you want to, you probably can look them up by name and maybe even see some scary pictures. Hydrilla is #1.....

And after you gather all that info, you can be a veritable font/fount (I never know which one it is when spelled) of information at your next driveway party....or everybody will just think you are Cliff Clavin.

Anyway, if you really want to know what the invasive species might be, this link will get you started:

Nandina Domestica is considered invasive, but I think we're talking water plants here like water lettuce or water hyacinth. There are many kinds in FL. It's a serious matter since it can adversely affect the health of the water body, fish, wildlife, etc. I hope they move quickly to eradicate before it spreads.

Look at lake lockloosa, sampson lake and crescent lake and you will see how bad the plant life can affect the health of the lake.

What's a $100k divided 120k ways? I wish there was an easy way to collect it.

There is. Just have TV collect in their monthly bills.

So to clean up this unfortunate situation every house has to fork up an extra one time fee of 2 bucks?
You make it sound so doable.

Question Calling all English teachers

"The removal of invasive species that have moved into the wetlands would be labor intensive..."

Partial quote from source that shall not be named. Question; is it more than one species? Is invasive species singular or plural in this context?

Didn't the CDDs north of 466 win a $40 million dollar lawsuit against Morse and The Villages and if so wouldn't this be a good use of the monies?

The news source alluded to by the OP indicates that CDD 1 may have to foot the bill, not every Villages household.

How does CDD1 or any CDD have ownership or control over the Hudson Parr Preservation Reserve?

Or better yet, a giant covered indoor pool, and paths leading to it with lots and lots of stripes.
