Both the golf cart driver and his wife were wearing seat belts. He has sadly passed and his wife is seriously injured. The online news stated that the accident was caused by the golf cart driver making an improper turn.
I don't think that additional speed limit signs would have helped and obviously this demonstrates that seat belts are not the be all and end all.
My advice is that when driving your golf cart you want to avoid turning into the path of an oncoming car. This poor gentleman mike the unfortunate fellow who died on Morse last year seem to have made the same mistake. No signs or lanes would have prevented either of these tragedies.
It is my understanding that in both cases, the drivers of the vehicles that struck the golf carts had no chance. The golf cart driver in both cases simply made a horrendous error which turned out to be fatal.
The families, survivor and driver of the other vehicle are in my prayers.
