That's a scary thing to do, you could be lucky or unlucky. You can't stop a roommate from bringing people in the house to visit and you won't know their background or what they might have in mind nor will your ever know for sure the roommate's background or how sloppy she will be or if she'll even pay her rent after the first week or two. If you are used to living alone you will not enjoy having a stranger sharing your home. Unless you can't exists without the extra income I would suggest that you don't do it. It's really easy to bring in extra money today with all of the part time jobs available that pay very well. You would be better off sitting for a small dog in your home to bring in extra cash, people are always looking for someone to do just that.
