We went from owning a 2000 sq ft home with a pool in NY to downsizing to a town home. Now that we will be moving to TV we have chosen a designer home, mostly because we want a pool again. The thought of not having to close a pool and put away all of the lawn furniture is very appealing. We wanted to be outside as much as possible and with our over sized lanai and pool we feel that will suit our needs best. In the end, you have to pick what fits your lifestyle. We tend to like to say around the house a bit so a larger place made sense.
