As a chaplain at the Villages hospital I not only hear this all the time I see it in action. In my line of work I have occasion to witness many passings and the predominant feeling about that phrase is that at least we have the good fortune of living in
paradise while we are working toward getting there.
I don't want to sound callous but no one that I know of has figured a way to avoid life's passages. Death is a fact of life but... we don't have to freeze our tushies off

while we live our life to the fullest.
