Well you are in the minority. Acording to a CBS report back in May of 2011 there were over 50,000 golf carts in the Villages and only 16,000 regular golfers. I'm sure that the number is much more than that now.
For the life of me, I cannot understand why someone would buy a retirement home in a community that is advertised as a "golf cart community", has over 90 miles of cart paths and think that it is strange that so many people prefer golf carts.
The golf cart accessibility is one of the main reasons that I live here. I really try to avoid taking my car unless absolutely necessary. I much prefer the open air and the fun of riding in my cart.Sometimes I just take the cart for a ride because I enjoy it.
