Unfortunately it did very poorly at the box office. Probably a result of the critics. I'm trying to figure out what they didn't like about it. I thought that it was very entertaining even though very unrealistic. But that's what I expected.
The only thing that I didn't like was the device where a statue of Tonto comes alive to tell the story to a little kid at a 1933 carnival. That was a bit over the top for me. The rest however I thought was fantastic. Some of the audience members clapped at the end when he shouted "Hi Ho Silver, Away!"
