So, I was happy that she was only in it for 17 minutes. Huge Jackman was great and I think Russell Crowe did an outstanding job...espcially since he isn't a singer and had to take voice lessons for 4 months before making the movie. But the real star was Eddie Redmayne, who played Marius, Colette's boyfriend....I thought he was wonderful and stole the show!
I agree with you 100%...thought Ann Hathaway was way too dramatic and not believable and her singing amounted to sobbing. The rest of the movie was fabulous...the best one I've ever seen. Eddie Redmayne, stole the show. Huge Jackman & Russell Crowe were outstanding. I saw the the original stage play in London, and it was also without any dialog, only music. The movie is equally as good, although it is always better to see something in person.
