I agree Gracie. That is true. But it only takes one time to be in that kind of danger and you lose your life.
With a lot of what's been happening around here these days, I can't blame anyone for wanting to carry a gun.
Someone said, that this is a retirement community so there is never a need for us to defend ourselves. I believe that quite the opposite is true. Retirement communities are perfect targets for criminals. Most of us are no longer capable of defending ourselves in a physical confrontation.
I believe that we live in one of the safest areas of the country, but that doesn't mean that things don't happen. We have had several people from my neck of the woods arrested in recent months and after seeing there criminal record, I am appalled to know that these people live in my neighborhood. I have actually had contact with some of them and Jenny had an incident with one. They are frightening people.
We may have a very low crime rate, but there is still crime and like I said, it only takes one time.
