Bumper paint ?
My bumpers have faded to gray color. I tried back to black and it did not work. My thought is to paint them with black spray paint. Being they are plastic what kind of paint will work ?

Krylon Fusion will generally adhere to plastic but there is no guarantee. You might want to ask one of the Golf Cart Stores for their opinion.

Bumper paint ?
My Yamaha bumper has faded from black to gray.
Has any one tried painting the bumper? . |

Yes, I have done this. If you check at the local auto store, your will find black bumper paint, it tends to have a softener in it, so it will flex with the bumper. If you use regular auto paint, it will tend to crack ab[nd peal. I can give you a hand if you would like. Send me a PM.
I have rebuilt 7 cars from the ground up and painted all of them. I am touching up the hood of my daily driver right now.

After cleaning using a pre paint prep product painting with a satin finish Krylon paint should work fine.

NOTE, I missed that this was for a golf cart, but the principle is the same. I also stand by my comment about staying away from any paint that dries HARD, most bumper paints have an additive that keeps them FLEXIBLE, this keeps them from splitting and cracking on the vinyl bumpers. Cost is about the same, so please use the automotive paints.

I had great luck on a new RV bumper part using the bumper cover paint they sell at the auto parts place on the corner of 301 and 44. I used the GM version. It is for plastic thermoplastics.
I would use a paint prep, tho, to get off the stuff that you already put on. |

I used to use a product called "Back to Black" (I think it was made by Mother's) on my MGB bumpers. Worked great. Not really a paint, more of a conditioner. I have not yet had to address this issue on my golf cart.
