Default 3-Point Retractable Seat Belts

Does anybody have 3-Point Retractable Seat Belts installed on their non-street legal cart? I have a Yamaha Gas and would like to have them installed if i can find them. If you do have them:
  1. Where did you get them installed ?
  2. Where did you get the belts from? (if different from #1)
  3. How much did it cost?
  4. How do you like them?

THANKS!

I can help with part of this .. Carts and Clubs sells them in Ocala. They have a service van in TV 3 days a week and I bet if you call them that they will install in your driveway. Did you call TV cart shop?

I wish I had known that Carts and Clubs could install the 3 point seatbelts! Don't expect any help from The Villages Golf Carts. We went to them asking about any golf carts they had and if they could install the seatbelts. They knew absolutely nothing about it.

We were prepared to buy a brand new Yamaha golf cart from them, but we absolutely need 3 point seat belts for our disabled son.

We bought a beautiful Tomberlin golf cart (yes, from The Villages Golf carts at Lake Sumter Landing). You can order a seat with 3 point seat belts from Tomberlin, plus the Tomberlin has a very safe roll cage. We love it.

We also bought a Polaris GEM from Bill Bryan on hwy 441. It's great, also electric and it's street legal, with a safe roll cage and 3 point seat belts.

My husband wanted a gas cart, but we couldn't find one with the safe seatbelts. Like I said I wish I had realized we could have had them installed.

But we are happy with our choices.

Unhappy My Bad.

I probably wasn't clear enough in my original post. When I said "3-Point" seat belts, i mean the kind that don't just go across your waist (like airline seat belts), but also go across your chest and up to a 3rd point above your shoulder (like all modern cars.) I just called Ocala Carts and Clubs and the lady that answered said they do not sell 3-point seat belts, retractable or otherwise. Does anybody else know of a place that does sell them and will install them on a Yamaha Drive? If not, i guess i'll just go with retractable lap belts.

thanks

To have an effective 3 point belt system would require a heavy duty roll-bar system installed to attach and anchor the over-the-shoulder belt. That seems to be a significant modification when considering attaching to the frame, and additional bracing needed to brace up the roll bar itself. Then you have the liability issue of some local shop representing that these heavy-duty modifications will actually hold up in an accident, let alone basic manufacturer's warranty problems arising from cutting into or welding onto the cart's frame.

I have a price list from Villages golf carts that I got this past April. It states seat belt installed each person----$29.75. I'm sure that these are the airline type NOT the 3 POINT TYPE.
