Default 4-Seater Golf Cart

Quick question. Will a 4-seater golf cart fit in a golf cart garage? I'm pretty sure the model that allows the back seat to fold up fits fine, but I was looking at a 4-seater with a permanent rear seat and elongated roof. Thanks for your time.

If you have a separate golf cart garage (one that has its own door) you should have no problem, however you may be limited for putting additional storage in that area. If you have a single door garage where the golf cart goes beside the car, these can be cramped.
I hope someone with a normal 4seater can measure and give you the typical length, or an internet search should get you the info.

Or if you would like an answer before then, take a tape measure to the Golf Car store and measure one of theirs. Then check out you garage or one that you may be liking at.

The 4 seaters with both rows front facing are a headache to park in many places and they don't handle nearly as well as the regular 4 seaters. Personally, I prefer my 4 seater Yamaha with the back row facing backwards and I even enjoy it as a passenger in the back.

We actually had the opposite experience. Traded in our 2 front/2 back for a 4 seater all facing front. Parking isn’t bad, it does handle differently, not as easy in the turns; but not a big deal

I also have a 4 forward Yamaha gas golf cart. It rides like a dream and is not hard to park at all. I can park like all golf carts at the squares. I just back in and have about 6 inches more sticking out. I have never had an issue with a car getting to close. We had some friends drive ours and they ordered one and sold their regular 4 seat golf cart. Also some people get motion sickness when facing backwards on a regular golf cart. I live in Deluna and you are seeing more of the 4 forward golf carts all the time.

Watch out, my insurance company will not insure golf carts with rear facing seats. Too many liabilities

Yes.

We have a 4 seat all facing forward. One thing we did before deciding which one to get was to test drive as many as we wanted. The Villages Golf Store (at least in Spanish Springs) was super helpful and let us test anything we wanted.

Also, renting a 4 seater one and take it to your garage and see could help too. The 4 seat rental ones are about the same length as the 4 seats, 2 facing rear.

As far as driving and comfort of a 4 seater, all facing forward: Yes a bit different (you can rent one and try for yourself) but no issues. Parking is not a problem at all and you can park pretty much anywhere like all the other carts. It is way better experience for all occupants and more stable than most rear facing ones due to a lower center of gravity.

Funny thing. The cart manufacturer web sites list cart specs like overall length.

Default Cart with fold up back seat

Our cart is a four seater come up where the backseat folds up and yes it fits into the golf cart garage with no problems.

Default 4 seater

I have a two car garage. I have a two seater and a four seater with golf club rack. I have about 6 inches on either end left over. It’s a very tight fit but it works and I keep one car in the garage.

It depends on the house and what size golf cart garage it has. We live in Orange Blossom in a site built home with a golf cart garage that was part of the of the original build. It will fit a 4 seater with fold up floorboard and a 88” top. That being said, new homes may have deeper garages.

Do they also give the specs of the garages too?
