Default Aluminum Welder

Possibly no one will ever need a welder for their golf cart, but I did and had a hard time finding one. Maybe this will help someone in the future....

Was going to put this in contractors, but it felt better in the golf cart forum....

J&B Street Rods & Welding, just north of 466A on 27/441. In same complex as Yesteryear Karts.

Bill is his name, all the times we talked I never learned his last name. I found out later it is Horne. Down to earth, seems like quality person, never trying to up sell me, in fact he told me what things to do ahead of time to save on his labor costs.

In my case to keep costs down, I did all of 'grunt work', i.e., dismantled cart, designed and cut aluminum pieces, clamped up and brought cart chassis to his shop in my friend's pickup. He did a great job and charged me $50 which seemed more than fair to me.

Every time I was there people just stopped by and chit chatted, I wonder how Bill gets work done . They are working on some very nice vintage cars there.

I heard folks talking about his affiliation with the Villages Car club:

Bill is a great guy and does all the work on my MG TD. He is a Villages resident and a fellow member of the Villages Vintage Car Club.

I highly recommend him

Mel
I have finally found a way to post all my pictures out the my home web server and make them viewable to everyone. I though I had it working the other day but I had a friend try it today and it did not work. I went back in and made some changes and it seems to be okay for now.

With in a few days I will post a link to all the pictures that were taken at TV and a few other places. One concern is that I cannot add comments to the picture so someone new will not know what they are looking at.

I will send you an PM to let you be my offical tester.
