Default Spano: Negative Experience

7/26/11: Spano installed 2 tires on our golf cart front wheels at $129. Wheel alignment cast, $29.95. Total cost %373.54. We thought the tires were new. (Later, we realized the tires were not new.)
7/21/11: A front tire blew out on Beuna Vista due to excessive wear. Spano picked up the cart and reported that the wheels were not aligned properly which caused extra wear. Spano re-aligned the front wheels, and replaced the old tires with 'new' tires. Spano charged us $139 for new tires again.
11/25/11: We observed that the front tires were wearing out too fast and these tires were also not new tires.
Spano's son replaced the tires and refunded $129.

Depends on the tires, brand size.

Do a Google search to see the cost online.

Install a tire on rim about $10

We. too, have had non-positive experiences with Spano. We have several friends who have also used him in the past and have sworn never again. He seems to overcharge and then not stand behind his work because he will charge for the work he should have done in the first place. I'm not just saying this willy nilly, we have the repair tickets to prove it. We call All About Carts now when we need service. Have not had a bad experience with them.

Just wondering if there is any reason to post this information? It is 6 months past the last service? JMHO

Kirk, you might want to recheck your post. There must be a typo in one of the first two dates.................

Default Is Spano still in business?

I have a problem with my cart and houseguest is arriving Tuesday. I have tried twice in the last few days to call Spano with no return call. I called Carl at All About Carts and my call was returned in five minutes. I have had Spano for 6 years... guess I am switching and hope Carl is as good as the recommendation from a fellow at Ace Hardware said he is. The man at Ace has five carts and Spano had worked on them for years. He said never again. I hope I am doing the right thing.

You will love Karl with All About Carts. He's "the one" for us when we need our cart looked at. Nice, knowledgeable, polite and reasonably priced. His son, who works with him, is just as good.
