It's not just carts that are scarce. They've had my 2021 Quiet Tech Yamaha in for warranty repairs for nearly three weeks now. It has a clutch problem, and the parts are back ordered. No idea how long I have to wait, but the good thing about The Villages Golf Cars is that they have provided a loaner for as long as it takes.

Their also like car salesmen, their all crooks and out to drain your wallet.

What a better way to find out about golf cars is to ask the people that own and have
already bought one here on totv.

We just arrived here in March. We went to lots of dealerships from here to Ocala that either had near empty lots, or said everything they had was already pre-sold. We didn’t ask what the wait time was because we wanted a cart right away. The one place we found that had quite a few carts on the lot that were ready for delivery was Villages Discount Golf Car at 16330 S, US-441, Summerfield, FL 34491. They deal in Yamaha gas carts and Evolution electric carts. We chose the Evolution and are quite pleased with it even though we often see negative comments about them on this site. We purchased it on Wednesday and they delivered it on Friday. Service has been good as well. They will pick the cart up, repair, and bring it back if you have a problem. You might want to give them a call at 352-633-8480 to see if their stock is still good.

My brother in law ordered a 2022 Yamaha Quietech in May and got it delivered today. The cart itself was ready and in the showroom a month ago---the additional wait was for the fabric to make the curtains. Cost about 17-18K with the comfy seats.

I just bought a golf cart from Sumter last year. Checked prices everywhere including for options etc. Even in other states. The Villages Golf Carts are more expensive because of convenience but… when I had a problem Dec 26, the day after Christmas, they made sure I was ok that very day. I like their service. Not the cheapest true, but to call them crooks? I never felt misled or deceived.

Are you actually in the market for a new golf cart?

Yes I was until my wife has surgery scheduled and might have to put it off for a while.

I have had great service from The Villages Golf Carts also. For me it’s Magnolia Plaza. I’ve always been able to get my cart in for service within a day or two. As of the last time I was there they were only servicing carts purchased from them. So if you bought elsewhere you either had to have a mobile mechanic come out or the dealer you bought from. Getting a loaner cart at no charge is just icing on the cake.

Here in Michigan we have a summer place in Sandy Pines Wilderness Trails. (https://sandypines.com) It's a golf cart community. We have two pretty nice electric golf carts but when we move to the Villages in three years we will need a gas cart.

My point is, I think we can get a top of the line gas golf cart here in Michigan for 12,000 to 14,000 tomorrow and bring it to the villages with us. If you still spend the summer somewhere beside the Villages, consider buying a cart there instead of paying top dollar in a closed market..

I didn't use them, because I shopped price. I never felt they were crooked. I don't feel it's anyone's duty to try to be the cheapest. As long as they aren't trying to slip something in while you aren't looking, and as long as they deliver what they say they will deliver, at the agreed upon price, I see no reason to label them "crooks".
Everyone is entitled to shop around and buy elsewhere if they wish.

I'm just saying watch your transaction carefully.
I see to many retail salespeople that can try anything to make a couple extra fast bucks.

We must have gotten a good one. No complaints, no ups, no extras we didn't want. Just wish we didn't have to wait 6 months, although we have a loaner. We are in our 4th month.

something specific to The Villages Golf Cars, or are you just speaking generally?
