Default buy golf cart question

What do you think about buying a 10 year old gas golf cart? Trying to decide if a four seater for $2700 is an ok price.

I deal in carts all the time up here in PA as Director of golf. I got $395 trade for our 10 year old 4 seater. It was pretty beat up tho. I get 2006 gas Yamahas for $2600. I would look around a bit

Probably a totally different cart then hedoman makes referance to. You have to remember that any cart that is "Villages ready" has about $1000 in extras. Sunbrella enclosure, head lights, brake lights directional lights, horn, and usually several other add on's. If you go to the yahama site and add just the minimum of what is required in TV, you will add a little over $1600 to the base price. So about $1000 for used if those things are still in good condition. The four seats add about $700 when compared to another used two seat cart. So $2700 seems a little bit high, but not much if it's good shape.

Like anything else, it depends on how much it was used and taken care of.
I just had a 2 passenger ez-go with a lot of extras that I bought and sold several months later for $2600.....It was an electric.
A 4 passenger refurbished yamaha (2005) gas will run over $7,000 at TV golf cart shop. I know because I bought one a couple months ago.
The asking price is about what I have seen at the squares from private owners.

Before you buy, consider having a mechanic evaluate the cart for you. There are several in the Sun Classifieds that will do it for under $50. Better to know exactly what you are getting.
