Default Carts and Clubs Impressed Us

Hubby and I took delivery yesterday of a new Yamaha gas golf cart, purchased from Carts and Clubs in Ocala. During the inaugural ride we noticed tiny dents and very minor scuff marks on the side-view mirrors. We expected that our call, explaining the mirror issue, would result in a repair technician showing up whenever he could get to us. A week? Two weeks? After all, this wasn't an urgent matter! The repair truck and a nice guy named "Jim" showed up in front of our home this morning, ready to replace both mirrors! Impressive customer service. We are pretty darned happy that we decided to buy our new cart from Ted Dunlap and his very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Ted's sales skills are outstanding and so is his new facility. His son-in-law, Paul, did a terrific job of going over the features of the cart when he delivered it yesterday. Did we save any money by purchasing our new cart from Carts and Clubs? Probably not. Did we get more value for the money we spent? Yes. Ted builds a better cart and adds "little things" that make using the cart more enjoyable. If you are in the market for a new, or good used cart, drive the extra miles to Cart and Clubs. We are so glad WE did. Did Ted ask me to write this testimonial? No! Like I said, he and his company impressed us, that's all!

For anyone who's visited Carts and Clubs facility in Ocala at some point in the past and felt it wasn't at a high standard, take another trip up there to check out their new digs. Wow! They did their new place up right!! It's just a bit further north on the other side of the road. Tons more space and done up very nicely. Quite an improvement!

I hear ya, Bill! When hubby said we were going to go to "Carts and Clubs" I said, "We are going where to look at golf carts?" We also had stopped there last year and I wouldn't even get out of the car! I was pleasantly surprised when I stepped into their new showroom! And, I can't say enough good about the owner, Ted Dunlap.

I bought a cart from them last year. Service excellent, cart excellent, and the price was very good. There enclosure is significantly better then from The Villages Golf Carts. Much tighter, better design, better features, and set up to last. I have an 09 from TVGC and a 10 from C&C and both are great carts. But the one from C&C has a much better enclosure. The only thing I like better about TVGC one is the color.

We agree with all the comments, great cart, many little extra features, people, service and the price was less.

At the risk of being redundant, we would recommend (and have several times) Carts and Clubs without hesitation. Our cart was ordered in April and delivered a day after we moved in at the end of June. Great service, very helpful people and several little things that they add to make the cart better. The Mee Cab enclosure beats anything else hands down!

Let's be fair here and tell the whole story. I think Yamaha gas was the way to go for me. I own two carts from Ted and Connie from Carts and Clubs. One conventional cover and one Curtis Cab. There is no question but that Ted has the best conventional cover to be had.

The price differential was significant three years ago. That difference has narrowed.

Would I still buy my next cart from Ted today? You bet.

I prefer their cover over The Villages. What The Villages does have over Ted is convenience and a free rental (as available) when you have out of town guests.

Ted has taken over an old marina up on 441 just south of Ocala. Very nice facility. Ted is ok, but I really like his wife better. And Paul is a gem.

We purchased our used gas Yamaha from Carts and Clubs a couple of years ago after seeing recommendations on this site and comparing prices and features of other used carts in TV. Their service has been great. The cart has been great.

Thanks for the heads up that they have moved. We may have to check out their new showroom next time we're down.

We ordered a cart from Tom at carts and clubs. Thanks to the recommendation from Bill and Brillo. I was impressed with the way they build their carts and it will be delivered the day after closing. I would recommend anyone to at least take a look there before purchasing anywhere. They do alot of little extras that make it worth while.
