Arrow Electric Golf Carts Acceleration and Deceleration: Which Models Are Configurable?

A common EV golf cart complaint I have seen - and indeed personally experienced - is their acceleration and deceleration speeds: typically they acceleration too quickly (bad for sharp turns / stability) and when taking ones foot off the pedal, they automatically brake too quickly (bad for heavy traffic).

The Villages Golf Carts just posted THIS VIDEO showcasing EZGO's IntelliGauge which, among other things, allows the owner to directly set both acceleration and deceleration on a 1-4 scale.

I knew these settings can be set on many golf carts, including possibly gas, but they typically require dealer intervention - as noted in the video. To me, enabling such owner configuration is a huge positive for EZGO's Liberty and RXV and I wondered what other EV makes (Star? Evolution? etc.) allow this level of owner configuration for top speed, acceleration, deceleration, regenerative braking, etc.?

Do you know of other carts that allow this level of owner control? If so, please share the make and model, the configurable options, and how they can be set: directly on the cart, through a mobile app or both.

You can set things like acceleration and deceleration curves and top speeds on any of the golf carts. Being able to do it via a preset user setting is most likely unique to EZ-GO. On the Evolution, the dealer can do it for you. If you get the programming cable and the software you can also do it yourself. With the cable and software you can do far more than simple accel, decel, and speed, so you need to be careful and need to understand what to change.

I have my own cable and software and used it to change my tire diameter when I changed to a different size tire so that the speedometer and miles would still be correct. I also had to modify speed as it based on RPM's, and when you change tire size the number of revolutions changes for a given speed.

Navitas controllers have had these capabilities for years
I have two separate carts with 600amp units that I can control from my phone or the dials right on the cart, on the fly.

I have an EZGo built before this new feature. I don't have any problem at all with the acceleration or deceleration - it is what it is and I got used to it just like any other vehicle I have driven. Accelerates too quickly for corners? Try not pushing the pedal all the way to the floor. Automatically brakes too quickly? Try not taking your foot entirely off the pedal.

I wonder how much the new feature will be used. I suspect most will set the speed to max (which appears to be 20mph) the acceleration and deceleration to full or nearly full and never touch it again. Nice to be able to configure it to how you like it but not something you would use more than a couple of times.

The Ability to change those parameters has been around since 1995 on some brands and more recently as noted, all brands. Having a hand held scanner or computer softwear and your good. Also as noted, in the wrong hands and you can burn up some stuff so be careful.
