Does anybody have a dealer and/or repairman who can change a 2022 evolution lithium golf cart into an LSV?
Thanks |

IMHO, you do not want to do this, you get 5 more MHP, you get several hundred dollars per year for insurance, you get to drive on roads where you are LIMITED to 25 mph and the cars are typically doing well over 40 MPH. IMHO, not worth the cost, not worth the risk.

If it’s got seatbelts, windshield, headlights, tail lights, blinker lights. Basically village ready golf cart it probably meets 95% of the requirements? (like the Yamaha’s, easyGO, and par cars carts) Nobody has LSV just go 25 maximum. Almost every LSV vehicles exceed speed limit and of course no law enforcement. Every LSV that I have seen going down BV or MB exceeds 25 mph plus. Why they get them licensed IMO.

Yes, most carts have speed odometer’s and supposed to limited to 20 MPH. LSV limited to 25 MPH. Now, plenty of illegal carts zipping down MMP and streets exceeding 25 MPH. Both street legal and regular golf carts with engine governed rpm’s cranked up and electric carts programmed and high speed motors installed.

Yes we have a GPS based speedometer and the cart is set for 20 mph, which is what it does, with 21 on downhill runs and 19 on uphill runs. Fast enough for us we are retired and not in a hurry.

At 25 mph one gets to go 5 more miles further....in one hour.
I would venture a guess most golf cart journeys are less than 30 minutes. To get to where how much faster? As the saying goes.....to each his own!! |

To get back to the OP's original question: Villages Discount Golf Cars is now the EVolution dealer (after Luxus stopped). You can contact them about LSV conversion. I have no idea whether they do this; however, they do all warranty work on EVolutions.

Villages Discount Golf Cars on CR466 can probably do this for you.
You will need at least a windshield wiper and registration plate bracket installed. They can program the cart for the high speed. |

Village discount will not do this. They have legal concerns.

Evolution golf carts come built to do 25mph. Village Discount Golf Car turns the speed down to 20mph for legal reasons and will not turn it back. They said if we did it would void the warranty with them.

A lot of info on street legal carts posted here is flat out wrong. I highly recommend 24 Cart Club 352-661-0562, HOME | 24hrcartclub. They are a full service, family owned and operated business that specializes in all things cart related, including converting to street legal LSV. They have converted 2 carts for us. Yes, it’s going to cost you . Depending on what your cart needs to comply with Florida requirements, it could be as high as $1100 plus the insurance, which is the same as a car.
I’m guessing hat you live in one of the many communities that share a border with the villages, because if you live within the bubble, you really don’t need to convert to lsv as you are connected to the paths and never have to go where regular carts aren’t supposed to go. Hope this helps. |

I found that anything over 30 makes the cart real squirrelly..
Unfortunately unless heavily suspension modded there's no way to crank the steering caster back farther to make the golf cart track truer and not so jerky side to side. Personally I'd like mine to smoke the tires on acceleration, not so much added top end. |

Also, a single piece windshield is required. No two piece, fold down is acceptable.
