Default Golf Cart Expert Service

Morning all - we purchased a home in TV in May and coming to visit this week. Our first purchase is a golf cart. Obviously, we would feel happier to purchase from a dealer, as I assume this would come with a warranty. But what happens if we find a great deal on this Forum, ie purchasing from a private seller, with no warranty. So is there a Golf Cart Expert who charges for his time to look over a golf cart for sale by a private seller in TV? Many thanks

"Expert" can't see "inside" where issues could be.

Buyer Beware.

You could call Todd Casey or Willies and see if they offer this service, but I have not heard of a golf cart inspection service. You should also investigate several of the offsite golf cart dealerships in Webster and Ocala as they offer service and typically lower prices and warranties.

I agree, I would call Todd Casey's Golf Cart service and I bet he would look at it for a service fee. They are excellent and Trustworthy. I would stay away from Willie, personal experience, I used to use him, but never again.

There are services that offer to check out a golf car prior to purchase. A great tech can catch issues before they become a failure point.

If the cart is not too old, getting a steal, or a very good / cheap price, is always better so that getting an inspection after buying, and fixing it up for street legal / personal customizations, should be cost effective. I would stay away from private sellers for your first cart, as you are asking novice questions, which a private seller can hide well.. .

Another vote for Todd Casey…we had used Willie for about 10 years…he was great, then he retired and the business was sold to a company out of Orlando…TERRIBLE SERVICE…hence the move to Todd Casey.

If can’t determine conditions of used golf cart I suggest you buy new from village golf carts. Convenient, give loaners, and do scheduled routine maintenance. Some golfer’s put thousands of miles on golf cart year around here. Plus they cranks speed up to max which puts excess pressure of moving parts. Electric would be even more piece of mind.
