My brake lights went out. The head lights and tail lights, and turn signals work fine. I checked the brake pedal switch, but there is no voltage to the switch. I am unable to trace wires back...or to trace the wires from the tail lights. The wires go into a harness. .i assume there is a controller of some type to keep brake lights on for 3-5 minutes, and a fuse. I have checked all fuses i can see, and cannot find anything which would be a controller
the lights are GTW, and I assume the upgrade kit used by the dealer is the gtw upgrade kit for brakes, turn signals, etc. Any ideas |

This is interesting because the only 25 amp fuse I am familiar with is on the negative side of the battery and shuts down the entire cart.

found absolutely no use for it. possibly fuse for old cigarette type power outlet. replaced the timer for the brake lights...no diagram from carts and clubs. but they had a replacement. i think the negative lead was opening, causing surges in the old timer circuit. so i jumpered the negative lead to another neg lead, and timer works ok

no idea. cannot find any function for it...possibly potential accessory for a power supply

I have several wiring diagrams for Yamaha golf carts, and for 30 or 40 years all of these have a "master" fuse on the negative side of the battery, with all of the other fuses on the positive side. When this fuse blows, the cart is dead. No idea why it has been done this way.
