I have a Yamaha with a floor mat made out of several strips of rubber. Last year I had an incident where the mat moved forward and got stuck under the gas pedal. It was very scary as the the engine would not shut down. In panic mode, I had to turn the key to “off” to prevent an accident. I tried several fixes but settled on cutting a few strips out of the mat near the pedals.

I don’t believe that additional “floor mats” are standard equipment from the factory. They are added on by the dealer IF you want them.

They do come with the standard rubber mat which is secured to the metal floor by plastic “rivets”

That is the floor of the cart, not really the mat. The OP is talking about the easily removed floor mat. The Villages Cars is attaching those with two snaps on both sides.

Default Mat

First thing to do is to throw that mat out or use it in the garage for something else.
Go back to the Villages Golf Cars and buy a floor mat designed like a mat you used to wipe your feet on outside your door, the cart people have these, non slip and thick...........do yourself that favor and get rid of the stress fighting the thin mat.....they just dont work as well, I have a Club Car but the good mats are only made to fit Yamaha........do yourself a favor and sleep better at nite........................don't fight the mat...its wrong to begin with

Hi - I guess you didn’t see my follow up post, they ended up not charging me for that item when I picked up my cart yesterday.

Default We had no problems until….

Villages Carts used armorall on the floor of the cart during 5,000 mile checkup. Now we pull the mat back & use a bit of sand under the mat. Perhaps some Velcro would work too.

Yes, Velcro strips will do the trick!

THANK YOU for this ridiculously simple fix!! A small flat head screwdriver to pry the plug snaps up; a box cutter to make a small X in the mat; and voila! A secure mat!

Default Mat for Yamaha Fold Down Rear seat option

Does any one know where I am able to obtain a mat for the factory fold down rear on a 2022 Yamaha PTV?

Default Buy custom mats from Amazon

I had this problem too. I found some nice mats on Amazon that are heavy duty, fit around the pedals and up the front and there are clips that hold them in place. They are black and you can get a colored edging to match your cart. Do a search on Xtreme Mats.
