Default Golfcart parades

Wow, lot of carts. We just had two golf cart rally’s in the Villages. It was fun to watch. Does anyone have any fairly accurate numbers on just now many there were in each parade? Do the sponsors have a count. Thanks

In 2005 The Villages did a benefit for charities parade of 3,321 golf carts. It was a Guinness World record.

Dunno. But those numbers are like fish. The more the story gets told, the more the fish weighs.

I suspect the 12 or 15 that showed up for a particular parade might then come on here and the other big social media sites and say, "Wow! You'll never believe how amazing and big that parade for XXXX was!!!" That's all just over-inflation, hype, and trying to drum up others to come and add to the measly numbers.

many spokespeople from yesterdays' rally say attendance was aprox 4,000 carts. i'd believe it, they were backed up throughout Brownwood, & were coming not only from west torchlake drive, but also coming from the brownwood bridge. it was massive- i never saw it that big before. we all had such a great time & the weather held out for the most part. can't wait for the next one!!

4,000 carts? I seriously doubt that. Sounds like a made up number that many of us are use to.

I didn’t see any drinking, lots at Cody’s after and the 4000 was not realistic. I was really just curious because I know a good Villager loves a golf cart parade, lol. People driving cars don’t. Heard the first one didn’t have a big turnout but had a hundred or so (TV news #’s) but yesterday I heard over a thousand (worker). I can believe that, there were a lot. That’s why I thought the organizers have to have some kind of numbers.

The # provided by the subject of the "parade", was 1000.

The one on July 27 was much larger than the Aug 3 parade.
