Default tradewinds golf cart Star Carts

Do not do business with tradewinds by Best Buy. They sell the chinese made Star Carts. They do not honor their warranty. They will not provide work orders or replaced parts to show work done. Our Star cart has been in the shop more than on the road this last year and a half. Bob Shultz and his wife are very rude and unproffesional. This franchise has been sold 3 times in 3 years and everytime they refuse your warranty and say they have lost all paperwork showing ownership and warranty coverage. They have been filed against with the Seniors vs. Crime division of the state attorney generals office.

I don't know why you send this out because of your problem and try to make it ours. Yes 35 % is Chinese made unlike the Club Car at 80%, Tomberlin 100% Chinese made.

We hono all our warranty and even more but when you damage a unit I will not cover it, tires that are run flat are not covered and headlights are normally not covered but if the customer brings in the light bulb I give them back for free, but I will not cover it if I have to send out a tech to replace a light bulb for you. Yes the dealership has changed hands 3 times in three years, one owner died sorry can't do anything about that. And the last dealer took everything with him because he lost the dealership because cause he took the sale from us to us for his other dealers that he owns. We now have a better owner and have a lot better buying power for any number of carts we in need of.

And you are the only person who went to Senoirs vs Crime since I have been here.

And last if you think I am rude you are completely right and any man who attachs my wife verbally in front of her when I am not a round I will not not ever work with them until he comes in a applozises to my wife.

Last you called my office and left on a message for no one to ever call you again, but I have called twice early on to see if we can get past this and work and fix your cart, but have not left a message.

The new batteries I just put in your cat 1 week before all this I wanted to tell you your charger needs to be reprogramed for the Crowm batteries that we gave you free two weeks before your warranty ran out.

My neighbor bought a Star cart from them 2 years ago and has been extremely satisfied. Based on his recommendation, I bought a Star cart with the fold down rear seat 4 months ago. I am very happy with it and haven't had a bit of trouble with it. Sorry that you had such a bad experience.

Nothing but good to say about Bob and my Star cart. Even the last owner treated me well. My cart has extras and still cost less than the other more popular brands. Stopped in a few weeks ago and am eyeing their new enclosed cart that looks like a Smart car.

Default Happy Tradewinds Customer

I can't say enough good things about my Star car, and the service I have received. I have had my Star Car for a little over 2 years ,and have had a few service issues, but I have always found Tradewinds, and the other owners to be very responsive to the issues I have had. I don't think there is another cart out there that will give you the range, convertible back seat ,and comfort of the Star Car. The Par Car is nice, but it sits too high for some people.

It is true that the dealership has changed 3 times in the last 3 years, but I have had no problem with the new dealer picking up the responsibility of the previous dealer. Bob Schultz has gone out of his way to make things right with my Star Car.

I have a good friend who bought a new Star Cart and he is very pleased with his Cart and the Service. Iam told this Cart is assembled in South Or North Carolina. A golf cart is like an automobile in that you can get a "lemon" no matter what one you buy.

Kudos to the owner of the business. It is refreshing to see this rebuttal. There was little detail in the complaint, but lots of detail in the counter. We do some assembly in the USA, but most everything is manufactured outside the country. Sounds like the dealer is still offering to work it out.
