You can call agencies on the phone and get a quote. A big insurer with The Villages Insurance is Foremost. Call AAA and The Villages Insurance for starters.

Keep in mind you are out on the road with the automobile traffic and could be involved in a serious accident. You want the same liability and uninsured motorists limits as are provided by your Automobile insurance company.

If you ever rent your home, be sure to ask whether your golf cart insurance covers renters. We have State Farm and they do not cover renters under any circumstances.

We use progressive, also our car insurance is with them. Multi policy discount, paying $134/year.

One thing I forgot to mention in my earlier post is many insurers will quote you without uninsured motorists coverage. This is something you want. So when you get a quote ask the question if it includes this. There are many people in the Villages who do not carry insurance on their golf carts. That is not wise. Some people have the notion that their homeowner's insurance covers them. I used to do insurance quotes for Allstate and at that time homeowner's insurance only covers you while you are on the golf course. Not sure if that is changed but worth asking.
