I have an old mid 80s EzGo at 14 MPH. Was told $1000 to upgrade. Check with Elecrtic Motor Products on the Internet. For $250 plus shipping they gave me a rebuilt motor that gets 20 MPH. No big deal to install. Recommend heavier cables though. Think they can do this with most any motor. Check them out!!

What is the cost to upgrade to the high speed motor and will it effect the batteries adversely?

When I bought my Club Car eight years ago it clocked a measured mile at 15 MPH. I mention this to dealer and they agreed it was not right. They picked it up and had it back the same day. (No charge). It seems it was set for golf course speed. They reset it so it maxed out at 19.6 MPH.

Downeaster do you remember the name of your dealer? Sounds like someone with whom I'd like to do business.
