Default Golf cart interior light

Credit for this idea goes to Gracie's spouse, Sweetie (HER name for him....not mine! ):

If you'd like some overhead interior lighting in your golf cart - good for map reading, cleaning up spilled beer (a joke!), etc. - then consider buying some stick-on battery powered LED 'puck lights' for the underside of your golf cart top. They work like a charm! They should be available anywhere that has a wide selection of electrical items. Clean the mating surfaces with alcohol and you should be good to go.

We bought two - one for above the driver's side and another on the passenger side.

Maybe everyone else has already had the same idea but it never occurred to me to use these. I AM a little slow on the uptake at times........

Installed them over a year ago Bill and they work great!!

One thing, the 2 sided tape they use is a little on the flimsy side. My light started falling off after 2-3 weeks especially with the temp changes. I purchased a roll of 3M 2 sided tape (red color) and no issues since.

That's my fall-back position as well if the original tape/velcro doesn't hold, George. I'm hoping for the best with the original tape - time will tell!

The stuff with the red backing that you're speaking of is probably automotive body side molding tape. That stuff is tough - takes a ton of effort (and chemicals and scrapers) to get it to come off!!!

Hi Bill:
Don't remember exactly where I purchased the tape, maybe Lowes/Home Depot or even at Walmart. The tape is approx 3/4" wide by maybe 3'. I used it to mount a GPS holder on my steering column in my truck. When the GPS finally broke (old age) the tape came off in sections. Had to work on it a little, just rubbing my fingers against it to remove it. Nice thing was that it did not leave any tape or glue residue.

Good luck. Again, the lights work great

My hubby was just looking at them. Publix even sells them. Glad to hear they work well. Now I wonder how I can keep him busy the next time he insist on going shopping with me?

small led flashlight attached with the rope it came with on the basket.... bright light and you can look under the cart to see if that was a gator you just ran over because you did spill your beer
