I found this (see photo) on Amazon... but this can't be all we need? There must be more parts involved?

[QUOTE=NoMoSno;2275748]So there is nothing you can do to prevent it?
You must have someone look at it, only to tell you the part is no longer available.
What is the fix the techs are doing?[/QUOTE

There is a fix I sorry but i dont believe in trying to teach golf car repair over the internet. I deal with everyone looking at you tube and amazon parts on a regular basis already. Ill also state, not every person that says they know how to fix carts knows what to do.

Then one of the mobile golf cart repair services can install if you cannot do this.
The manual also appears to have the required maintenance so you will know exactly what is needed to avoid a future failure.

The manuals dont address the issue of why it fails. All golf cars have issues, its the good techs that recongnize these issue and know how to address them when confronted with them.

Is this problem with the discontinued axle on gas cart only or electric also? Does anyone know what model years are affected? Looking to get a cart and would like to know which ones to avoid.

2007 to 2014- Team Differential.

If properly looked at, its not an issue. You are also concerned about another avoidable is which is the rear hubs, this too is a simple fix if the tech knows what to look for. Its a great differential, but the ones that are out there need to have the right eyes look at them.

I just had mine repaired. I probably lucked out a received one of the last shafts available. I was told that this shaft is for models 2007 thru 2014. I was also told that this is easily preventable when doing the annual PM if the mechanic would check it out. It takes all of two minutes to checked.

I did check with Titan, Willies, Todd Casey and The Villages trying to get the part. Luckily I received the last one that the Cart Fixer (which I am very impressed with) had the part.

A quick Google search shows the part is widely still available.
