I think they should be. You can't have it both ways, I don't think. Isn't an LSV a registered vehicle? Then all registered vehicles should be allowed on the courses. Whew!!

While TOTV is a great resource for all things TV sometimes it is best to go to the source for questions such as these. Talk Host is not correct and if you read the Villages golfing guide you'll see that LSV's are allowed with specified limatations.

Read page 17 for the answer:

I think the question was " Should LSV be banned?" not "are LSV banned?".

As an aside, and with a nod to Professor Tony, when I saw the acronym LSV, my first thought was LifeStyle Visitor, not Low Speed Vehicle.

As Roseanna Roseanna Danna would say.... never mind.

Sorry TH, didn't see that.

But not really sure why anyone would ask the question. I haven't played too much at TV but I have played with some who use the GEM LSV. I don't see any reason why they would think of banning them unless they didn't fall into the specific guidelines i cited.

WMCHALE - why are you asking? Have you seen some LSV's that are harming the courses? Or was it just a general question?

So does that mean that Lifestyle Visitors should be banned from the golf courses? Or maybe only if they are driving a Low Speed Vehicle.

Maybe if I send my cart to "Tim the Tool Man" he could do a few modifications to make it go 40 mph. Could probably play 18 holes in 3 hours then.

Only if it is raining cats and dogs and no one else is on the course. But who would be foolish enough to do that? Oh wait, never mind!

Them too.

There are regulations about golf cart tires. Many street tires chew up the courses.

They are to wide for the cart paths and to heavy for the fairways.......

They should not be allowed on the courses............
