Default Golf cart drivers

Are there new laws for the operation of cart's in the Villagers?
Some say you must have a drivers license?

*I think* if you are on public roads you should have a driver’s license with you. Also insurance info in case you're in an accident.

Quickest way to get accurate info is to call Sumter County Sheriff’s non-emergency number, assuming that’s where you are.

And seat belts, registration, working lights - in essence you need whatever you need on your car.

Being discussed here
Golf cart drivers

Raises min age to drive from 14 to 18 (and need a drivers license)
If over 18, need to have ID with you (no drivers license required)

Puts responsibility on county/municipality to ID golf cart roads and certify they are safe for golf carts.
