Default Lester Battery Chargers

Are there 3rd party chargers, i.e. Lester on the market that are better than the named brands, E-Z-GO, Club Car, Columbia Parcar that sell with the original golf cart? Better 3rd party chargers seem like an ideal product that would cross mfr lines. Anyone have experience with Lester Chargers as an example?

Most aftermarket chargers you want to stay away from. There are some things you want in a charger that is going to charge a deep cycle battery properly. Lester by far is top
Of the line. If your charger is currently broken , remember most chargers can be repaired for right around a hundred bucks. There are exceptions "delta Q chargers " and late model Yamaha chargers.

OBC is on board computer its a club car thing. I think both delta Q chargers " and late model Yamaha chargers can be repaired for around 125.00.

There are many aftermarket chargers that are much better than anything that comes stock, but you will pay for them. Look at some of the electric vehicle sites they have or talk about them. Some or all of the better ones have logarithms that allow many different battery types and voltages but at 2000.00 it had better make coffee, drinks and talk dirty to me.

Lesters are like the old sturdy standard. They may not have all the bells and whistles, but dang if they don't keep performing, and are easy to repair.

Well just what charger are you talking about, if it a club car charger yes there fairly easy to repair, mostly because the OBC or the control part of the charger is in the cart and costs 250.00 to replace. Your talking about the cheep half of the charger is easy, that's correct. So your 100.00 plus the 250.00 plus is 350.00 and now its not such a great deal.

REMEMBER a company called FSIP they will rebuild controllers and chargers almost any brand for cheep.
