I have a 2013 Yamaha electric cart with batteries that were purchased in 2021. All of a sudden it won't hold a charge. Need some recs on who to get to diagnose and fix. Don't know if it's the batteries, charger or some rodent that gnawed the wires. Thanks

If you can wait a day or 2, I have suitable equipment to do some tests on the batteries, and monitor the batteries when the charger is connected. Also, the garage outlets are typically GFCI protected, are you sure the charger is actually on? The GFCI could be tripped and you are not actually charging the batteries. Please feel free to send me a PM with your phone number and we can discuss further over the phone.

Their site says they do lithium conversions and watering kits. Might be at least worth a call: (352) 848-8660

I checked the original Yamaha electric cart, all 6 (8 volt) batteries were completely discharges, below 1 volt each. At this level the charger will not work, I believe the owner will be replacing the batteries.

You know that the vast majority of the time you can just jump the set and get it to charge. If the batteries worked before, but just sat to long and discharged, there is a good chance the batteries are still good for awhile. Its a common issue. Granted if the age of the batteries are 4 or more years. it may not be worth it.
