Default Need replacement broken turn signal stalk for 2013 yamaha golf cart

Where can I get a replacement broken turn signal stalk for 2013 yamaha golf cart? Is there a self-cancelling one available?

First, you need to look at the existing turn signal stalk to see if there is a brand name, I have seen RHOX, Yamaha and several other "no name generic" turn signals. To answer your second question, yes there are self cancelling turn signals, HOWEVER these are not trivial to install. Most of the ones I have seen expect a MATCHING wiring harness and the electronics modules are typically $100 to $150 or more.

You have two less expensive alternatives, a motorcycle turn signal AUDIBLE alarm, these are typically $20 or so and provide a beeping sound whenever the turn signal is active. The other alternative is Signal Dynamics which has 3 or 4 versions that can be wired into an existing harness, which requires wire tracing and splicing.

Feel free to send me a PM if you would like to discuss further over the phone.

Default Good Information

Thank you for the response. I went over to the Villages golf cart store parts department and got a quote for the both the standard Yamaha stalk and the self cancelling one. Wow the self-cancelling one is very expensive much more than I expected.

Checking to see if this is still active, I received a note it was not.

Smile Found what I was looking for at Tinker Blinker

After searching the internet for turn signal kits I found the lowest cost self-cancelling solution at "Tinker Blinker". I installed it and it works perfectly. The one I got was a direct Yamaha plugin replacement. There were just 2 connectors under the cup holder dash hood that I needed to unplug for the replacement of the turn signal stalk.

The Yamaha OEM Stalk is the best quality turn signal switch out there. The only negative is that it's not self canceling. I changed to the Yamaha one after the cheap self canceling stalk installed by Carts and Clubs, broke and was turning the turn signal on when hitting bumps amongst other things.

Default turn signals

I agree the Yamaha stock turn signal stalk is high quality. I took mine completely apart to see if I could fix it but the Head Light switch in the stalk was broken so there was nothing I could do. I was about to buy a direct replacement but somewhat by accident found the tinker blinker one. It is self-cancelling and seems to also be high quality. Time will tell.

Just purchased a new blinker/horn control to replace the broken part on a
2018 Yamaha drive 2. He makes the switch once he knows your current carts wiring confuration. Makes the plastic parts with a 3D printer! Uses a chip made for aviation use to control the self-cancelling aspect of the blinker. The price is reasonable and the self-cancelling works perfectly. If your tired of driving down the road with your turn signal on give this gentleman a call! I highly recommend him. He will go the extra mile to make sure it works for you.
