EFI Yamaha Cart is a new technology for golf carts. Like most new models (including cars) there is usually problems and it takes a couple of model years to get out all the startup "bugs".

I've got a 2013 Yamaha gas cart and have no problems what so ever. Have about 800 miles on the OD and she runs great. I do know my dealer will do a "tune" on the cart in the fall. Sometimes the belt needs adjusting. A good dealer should take care of that for you.

Yup, Carts and Clubs in Ocala is well worth the trip. My 2013 gas works great and the features they offer vs other dealers is far better.
I'm glad I shopped around before bought a cart. And appreciate those here who suggested Carts and Clubs.

Has anyone had there engine light come on and stay on for about 30-40 min.I took it in and they told me it was the fuel pump so they put a new one in and the light came on again so now they will pick it up on wednesday and lets see what they say this time .

If you bought it from the villages store call them up and tell them your clutch slams into gear. They will repair it. They did repair mine. No problems.

Went into The Villages Cart store today to price out a new Yamaha gas cart. I mentioned to the salesman that I heard that the new 2013's were having complaints about slipping clutches. His reply was that Yahama wasn't going to change anything in 2014, and that they stood behind the existing clutch configuration. He stated that the problem was the way carts were used in The Villages and it was our problem and not Yamaha's.

All carts on the floor had the orginal clutches. When I said that I heard that the Ocala dealership was installing the "all terrain clutch" the salesman did an about face and said they would replace orginal clutches free before delivery if customers insisted. Go figure. A hidden recall situation, just like the auto makers?? A real honest salesperson. Really want to trust him??

Tomorrow I'm off to Ocala to see what they have to offer.

I have a 2013 EFI that I bought from Carts n Clubs in Ocala. I bought it in late November 2012 & have over 7700 miles on it.I hadn, t noticed any problems with the clutch .The guys just came to my house Friday because I had a tailpipe issue.While here I had them change the oil.They also replaced the drive belt & said they've come up with an adjustment on the clutch.The cart takes off smoother & climbs hills better.It also added about 3 m.p.h.
I have nothing but praise for Carts n Clubs . They're Carts & service is far superior then The Villages.

We bought our Club Car at Masters in Belleview, BUT they only do remanufactured. We got the 2008 as we didn't really like the new Precident. If you want new, try Granda and Grandpa's in Summerfield on 441. The will be more reasonably priced than the large dealer and do new Club car and Yamahas. They will "build" whatever you want. Both of these will be sure to make you happy.

We like our older Yamaha gas golf cart and it gets up to speed (just the speed limit, officer) quickly. Can you explain why this new fuel injection feature is a plus?

I tried one of those all terrain clutches on a 2013. I would NEVER get that thing. It was like a GC on steroids, the engine was screaming and it rode like s**t. They fixed my original one instead. It's not a recall !!

I had the new heave duty clutch kit installed last week. villages golf carts picket it up and did the repair under warranty. works fine.

Patrick at the Colony Plaza store mentioned to me a week ago in a conversation that he had had a recent visit from the creator of the one cylinder motor to show him a problem they were having with clutches in the 2013 models. They may have a fix as a result.
