I've just moved into the Villages and I got a 2008 Club Car Precedent 48v golf cart with the house I bought.
It's not in the best condition, but it's OK for a few years, and I quite like the idea of reusing an old golf cart. Any recommendations for getting a quote on getting someone to come to me or to collect the cart for: A Service/safety check SeatBelt installation Rear view mirror installation Side mirrors with flashing indicator lights Installing a themoplastic utility box on the back Making the indicators make a clicking/ticking sound (optional) Also a possible lithium battery install - depending on total price for everything. Thanks |

I put a Eco 105a 48v in my 2003 Club Car DS
It completely changed the character of the cart It's so much fun (fast & agile) I don't want to drive anything else. Fact is, I'm spoiled by it. All other carts are complete dogs. Waiting for quietechs to climb subtle hills is a drag. |

As far as CCs I had one, front end bushings, brakes, and corrosion was weak links for me. |

The key to getting anything old upgraded inexpensively or under a reasonable budget is DIY. So many options now for DIY using YouTube videos, internet forums, etc.and add ons your suggesting are simple with few tools or experience, etc. If your not comfortable with all this you will need to pay someone a shop rate or get a new cart with piece of mind.

If you are a little bit handy you can do everything on your list, excluding batteries, for about $575. That includes the safety check/service call. As the Tinker said it is all readily available on Amazon and everything on the list is easily installed. I did my own and saved a bunch. Alternately, there are a few places around that will do it for you but it will double the cost.
A lithium battery pack and charger will run you about $3,000 if you DIY. Add another $1,000 to have it done locally. Probably not worth the cost on a 2008 model.

Agree on the last line. Played on a mountainous course and an EZ GO elite had no problem climbing hills |

I also have a Club Car Precedent that I bought from a neighbor who had three and was downsizing to two (wife had one for golf and one for gardening hobby). Cart World in Lady Lake on 441 is the Club Car dealer. I asked them about some work I wanted done and had questions about general operation and they were very helpful. They will pick up and deliver. I think it was about $50 for me - I'm up in Marion County.

Contact Bo's Buggies, they are family owned in Lady Lake. He's a licensed Eco, BOLT, Relion lithium battery dealer with free pick up and delivery in The Villages and sometimes free installation.
A 2008 club car is just getting into its prime. It has the same drive system and almost all of the exact same parts as the new CC Onward and Valor. Replacement parts are not an issue. Bo has done a lot of cart refurbishments for customers, including lithium battery new paint/body, custom seats, led lights, stereo etc, at a fraction of the cost of a new cart at $15-18,000.
