Default Newer Quiet Tech Shroud Removal Question

I just removed the shroud on my 2023 Quiet Tech. It did not add much noise so I plan to keep it off in summer due to the heat rising through the seats.

I had to remove the rubber and metal 90 degree adapter that redirects exhaust out the side.

My question is if there’s any issue with the exhaust being fairly close to the belt. It’s just underneath the belt.

Without the shroud there is nothing for the 90 degree adapter to clip on to.

I have seen flexible stainless steel tubing, you should be able to attach this at the exhaust port of the muffler, and route to a suitable location. You will need metal bands to hold this in place.

I was thinking something like that may work. I’ll try to find something to fit.

Update: I’m dumb because I didn’t think of this originally. I was able to route a cable tie around the frame and through the original elbow. It is now back on securely.

Yeah, I just took an 8" zip tie and looped it around the tubular piece of the frame right behind the end of the exhaust and then through the original notch in the rubber encasement. While you were down there, did you remove the spark arrestor?

Exactly where I attached it also. I didn’t remove the spark arrestor. I should have done that but I’ll get to it soon.
