Default Over Width Golf Carts

It seems that I am seeing more really WIDE golf cart recently, not just Curtis Cab wide but wider. Sometimes this is because of wheels extending well outside of the cart frame but more often the vehicle itself seems extra wide. While this is not an issue most of the time I really don't want to have one coming at me on the bridge over 441 or on the Morse bridge over Lake Sumter. Am I alone in this observation? Is there any regulation on the maximum width allowed to use the golf cart paths and bridges?

I read that Yamaha has taken into consideration the increased size of retired Americans and now offer a 2XL cart.

To answer your question, I personally have not noticed an increase in size, you might check with the local golf cart sales people. They would certainly know if they are making them bigger..

I hadn't seen golf carts with solid, sliding doors until I moved to TV

They look as though they add an inch or two to the overall width, or is that just an illusion?

There are wider carts but not always rated for golf course use.
